Home - Scriptures God's Word - GOD’S Word A Warning to Our Nation and Judgment

“The Lord said; I will bring evil upon this place and upon its inhabitants…because they have forsaken Me…that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, and shall not be quenched.” 2 Chronicles 34:22, 23 This is what eventually will happen when a nation chooses to, “forsake God,” and go their own way without Him. Regrettably, it seems like the state of our nation today –“They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator…therefore God gave them to passions of dishonor; for their families exchanged the natural use for what is contrary to nature. Romans 1:25-26.

If we are fortunate, we would get a warning before He acts. Could that be what happened in on 9/11/01 in America? “If you will not listen to the voice of the Lord your God…the Lord will bring a nation against thee from afar, from the end of the earth as swiftly as the eagle flies; a nation who’s language you cannot understand; a nation of fierce countenance, who shall not regard the elderly or show favor to the young.” Deuteronomy 28:15, 49 Could these be chilling scriptures be describing in detail what the Nation of Islamic Terrorism inflicted upon America – a people who have forsaken the true God!

Our America’s activist judges removed prayer, Christian symbols, Christian traditions and values as well as God himself from our public institutions. They have been assisted by weak leaders in civic and political positions who blindly follow poor precedent. Our citizenry has allowed that to happen again and again. The Bible states that if a people find themselves feeling abandon by God, or under attack by others, there is an obvious reason – “Are not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?” Deuteronomy 31:17 The Bible reveals that God has seen it all before in errant nations and predicts – “In the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. Without natural affection, troublemakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, having a form of Godliness, but denying the power of it; from such turn away.” 2 Timothy 3:3,4,5 God’s Word isolates another problem with a people who are motivated by greed and consumption – “No man can serve two masters; for either he will love one and hate the other, or else he will hold to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Mathew 6:24

People who chose not to believe or even consider the words of God are predicted – There shall be in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts.” 2 Peter 3:3 Yet, we are to remain steadfast knowing full well what to expect out of the ungodly – “If the world hate you, you know that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own…” John 15:18

Since it is human nature to crave to be popular, accepted and liked by others, some professing Christians struggle with taking a stand for Christ. To these uncommitted but professing believers the Lord warns – “You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its savor, with what shall it be salted? It is thereafter good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the foot of men.” Mathew 5:13 If being, “cast out,” and trampled is not enough, it should terrify the stagnant Christian to hear their Lord repeat just how serious their God is – “But because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot I will spit you out of my mouth.” Revelations 3:16 Rejected by the very God they claim.

We are warned of a point of no return for the nation –“If the foundations be destroyed what, can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:3

Our Lord does not want to abandon us or bring judgment upon us if we only will be faithful – “I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it…” Ezekiel 22:30 Are there enough faithful Christians remaining in America to avoid the future final destruction of our once great nation?

United Christians Church is an online church of Biblical and political responsibility and personal accountability to Christ, our risen Lord and Savior. We encourage our dual members to also be active members of their local Bible believing church where they should attend, tithe, and volunteer. We seek to bring our members and visitors into a closer personal relationship with Christ. We desire to speak to current and relevant issues of the day from a Biblical perspective. Finally, we hope to educate members and visitors regarding our nations historical founding documents, including the history and truth behind what has been defined as a, "separation of church and state," and why participation in the public arena (including public service) is fulfillment of the role of membership in the Christian Church.
